easier with more arms.

Tako is a California-based group of innovators focused on bringing production environments a much-needed resource: time. We were tired of the unknowns of our days ruling our lives, and we figured that others were as well, so we decided to do something about it.

Now, we’re proud to say that we have found a solution. We still can’t make more time, but we can help manage it in a way previously unattainable. We provide smart asset monitoring that is unmatched in quality, capability, and versatility, and can be accessed from anywhere in the world you happen to be.

A phrase we try to live by is “do what matters most.” When you have the ability to manage your day a little more proactively, the ability to do just that tends to follow. We’d love to help provide that.

Andy Beam, CEO/president

Andy has been involved in the semiconductor industry for over 25 years. He began his career as a vacuum pump engineer and has built his experience working with numerous semiconductor companies throughout the Silicon Valley, providing a solid base on which to understand user and facility needs in a variety of applications. In 2004, he founded MaxVac Inc, a vacuum pump sales and service facility based in Central California. In the years since founding, he has moved the company from a small facility to being a successful, well-rounded operation ingrained in semiconductor and industrial markets around the globe. Now, he has broadened his focus to innovation through invention. Andy has spearheaded Tako as a company and the products it makes since its foundation in 2017, and has a deep-rooted drive to make things the best that they can possibly be. He has a passion for business and personal development, and also dreams of working in outer space one day, so if you are Elon Musk reading this, please give him a call.

Alex Beam, Vice President

Alex’s work background is in live sound and event planning, working primarily with mid-size and large bands. Accompanying working in sound, he has experience in computer troubleshooting, electrical engineering, and metal fabrication. Over the past years, he has spent time leading technical teams during live events, planning and executing large-scale events, and teaching technical skills to students. He has a passion for helping develop and shape the world around him, specifically regarding technological innovation and interaction. He is an avid rock climber, having climbed across much of the Sierras, and is always looking for an excuse to try somewhere new and challenging. He’s also always looking for climbing partners, so ask him the next time that you call into the office.
